Cauliflower Steak with Ginger-Soy Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower (very end of stem trimmed)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons soy sauce (low-sodium)

1 teaspoon ginger (finely grated)

2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

2 teaspoons water

Pinch of sugar

1 green onion (finely minced)

Directions

  1. At the first step, you have to heat your oven to 400 degrees F. Meanwhile, cut your cauliflower lengthwise, including the stalk. Cut it into ¾-inch slices. After that, place it on a large baking sheet. It may be a bit difficult to cut in this way for the first time or even several times, so it is ok if the slices overlap a little bit. Drizzle it with olive oil.
  2. Then, roast it for 25 minutes. The sign of well-cooked cauliflower is lightly browned at the top and the stems are easily pierced with a fork.
  3. The last step, whisk together the remaining ingredients you have and pour them over the cauliflower to serve.
